Development and Validation of a Novel HPLC Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Pregabalin and Etoricoxib in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form

The current study describes in detail an RP-HPLC method for assaying Pregabalin and Etoricoxib contents in combination Etoshine NP tablets using X-Bridge C18 column with an isocratic proportion of 60:40 (v/v) acetonitrile and 0.1% triethyl amine as the mobile phase. The flow was found to be isocratic at 1.0 ml/min. At 246 nm, Pregabalin and Etoricoxib were detected and quantified simultaneously. The retention time in minutes for Pregabalin and Etoricoxib were estimated to be 3.44 and 5.79, respectively. The obtained response was linear over the concentration range of 37.5 – 112.5 μg/ml Pregabalin and 45 – 135 μg/ml Etoricoxib. LOD for Pregabalin was 0.01 μg/ml and 0.02 μg/ml for Etoricoxib, while Pregabalin had a LOQ of 0.03 μg/ml and Etoricoxib 0.06 μg/ml. Precision was 0.01% RSD for Pregabalin and 1.38% for ETC. Accuracy was found to be in the range of 98.8 – 100.6% for both drugs, respectively.
