摘要

A low-profile absorber with wide-band absorptivity and polarization insensitivity has been designed using circular rings. The thickness for the proposed absorber is \(0.097\lambda _L\) 0.097 λ L , where \(\lambda _L\) λ L denotes the wavelength at the lowest operating frequency. The wide-band absorption has been achieved by the placement of circular ring resonators on two layers of FR4 substrates. The fractional bandwidth of the absorber structure is determined to be \(149\%\) 149 % in the operating frequency range from 3.35 to 23.13 GHz. The polarization conversion ratio is less than 0.2. The absorption is stable for both TE and TM polarized incident waves under normal incidence. The proposed absorber is a suitable for candidate for radar cross section reduction in stealth applications.
