Propagation properties of hollow sinh-Gaussian beam in maritime turbulence
摘要
Throughout this document, we investigate the propagation characteristics of a hollow sinh-Gaussian beam (HsGB) in maritime turbulence. Based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral and Rytov method, the analytical formula of the axial intensity for HsGB traveling through a marine environment is developed in detail. In order to study the impact of the parameters of the incident beam and the considered medium on output average intensity of the studied beam some graphical representations have examined. The axial intensity is found to be highly dependent on the input beam variables, for example the beam orders and the Gaussian waist, as well as the structure constant of the maritime atmosphere. It is shown that when the turbulence strength is higher or the beam parameters are lower, HsGB spreads significantly more quickly. The acquired results could be helpful for HsGB’s practical uses in laser communications and remote sensing.
