摘要

This research looks at the optimization of bimetallic plasmonic structures made of thin layers of silver and gold, with an emphasis on their function in improving surface plasmon resonance (SPR) detection. The investigation focuses on the use of the golden ratio in Kreschmann-based arrangements. Our findings show a 3.24-fold increase in the figure of merit when compared to a single gold layer and a 1.17-fold increase when compared to a single silver layer. However, while these combinations excel at improving SPR performance, the field enhancement at the metal-analyte interface remains lower than that of a single silver-based arrangement. These optimizations' ramifications in SPR sensing applications are highlighted.
