An evaluation method for optical chaos synchronization based on reservoir computing

摘要

A metric is proposed for evaluation of optical chaos synchronization performance, whether the disturbance is linear or nonlinear. The chaos synchronization state between two optical chaotic signals is mapped in a two-dimensional plane. The difference between the curve and \(45^{\circ }\) 45 straight line is quantified based on reservoir computing to evaluate the quality of the chaos synchronization. The smaller difference between the curve and the \(45^{\circ }\) 45 straight line (i.e., complete chaos synchronization state) indicates the better synchronization performance. The method is used for evaluating chaos synchronization in optical chaos secure communication systems. Considering nonlinear and non-uniform disturbances, the simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
