<p>The state of spatial hearing was studied in patients with grades 1 and 2 chronic symmetrical sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) using the Russian-language version of the Spatial Hearing Questionnaire. A total of 141 patients aged 47–82 years were examined. Comparative analysis was performed in groups with age-normal hearing and grades 1 and 2 SNHL. Significant deterioration in spatial perception was demonstrated in both groups by questionnaire results using the SNHL, groups with grade 1 and grade 2 SNHL differing significantly in terms of a number of indicators. The deterioration in spatial perception found by analysis of questionnaire subscales and quantitative estimates of spatial and temporal resolution obtained earlier for grades 1 and 2 SNHL were in good agreement. In grade 2 SNHL, estimates of all four questionnaire subscales were significantly reduced. In clinical practice, this questionnaire can be used as a screening method for assessing spatial hearing in patients with SNHL.</p>
