Early Differential Diagnosis and Restorative Treatment of Patients with Cerebral Palsy

This article addresses an urgent problem – the early diagnosis and comprehensive rehabilitation therapy of patients with cerebral palsy (CP). The etiological factors and pathogenesis of CP, the current potentials for the differential diagnosis of CP and a wide range of somatic, endocrine, and hereditary, including hereditary- metabolic and neuromuscular, diseases in children in the first years of life are considered in detail. The main directions of complex rehabilitation in JCP are analyzed, taking account of current standards and clinical recommendations. Cortexin has been shown to be highly effective in the treatment of motor, cognitive, and autonomic disorders in children with perinatal lesions of the central nervous system and JCP, due to its multimodal actions mediated by stimulation of neurorepair processes, neuroprotection, and neuroplasticity.
