摘要

Peer-to-peer ridesharing has emerged as one of the effective solutions for the urban transportation difficulties. It enables the passenger to share a vehicle which in turn helps to alleviate travel time, vehicle carbon emissions, traffic congestion and inherent hazards associated with centralised platforms such as OLA and UBER. In order to address these issues, blockchain based peer-to-peer ridesharing is proposed in this paper. Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) runs on blockchain technology which guarantees data decentralization thereby enhancing the security. Ethash hashing algorithm is employed in order to achieve decentralization of the blockchain which indirectly enhances the privacy as well. The proposed system also detects rash driving and camera based blind spot using MPU6040 sensors which inturn provides information to improve road and driver safety. The proposed system aims to create a dependable, transparent and affordable carpooling network with a focus on rider security and safety. In order to improve overall dependability and user control, the proposed solution offers decentralised applications (DApps) to enable users to engage in transparent and secure interactions inside the carpooling network.
