The role of m6A modification in spermatogenic dysfunction
摘要
Spermatogenic dysfunction refers to a pathological condition characterized by impaired sperm production in the testes, leading to male infertility. This disorder manifests through abnormal semen parameters, testicular lesions, endocrine disturbances, clinical infertility, and genetic defects. Emerging evidence highlights N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation as a critical regulator in this process, with its "writer-eraser-reader" machinery playing pivotal roles. This review systematically examines the involvement of m6A regulatory proteins in spermatogenic impairment, providing both theoretical and experimental foundations for developing novel therapeutic strategies against male infertility.
