VNIIFTRI reference base in the field of underwater acoustic measurements: metrological characteristics, functional capabilities, innovations, and prospects for improving standards
摘要
We describe the updated VNIIFTRI underwater acoustic reference base and present the information about a special multifunctional metrological water pool, an underwater acoustic excess-pressure tank, as well as the metrological characteristics of reference installations from the State primary standard of the units of sound pressure and oscillating velocity in the water media GET 55-2017, the State primary standard of the unit of ultrasound power in water GET 169-2019, and the State primary standard of the unit of sound velocity in liquid media GET 201-2012. We propose a model of hydrophone in the form of an operating link and a minimum-phase four-terminal network. Moreover, we introduce the notion of energy sensitivity in the frequency bands and propose a method for finding the effective size of hydrophone and determination of its minimum-phase frequency characteristic of sensitivity implemented in the GET 55-2017. We propose a method for representing the characteristic complex frequency response of sensitivity by the formula and formulate the requirements for the functionality of a digital metrology platform. The GET 169-2019 is supplemented with two installations for reproducing the units of intensity and pressure of ultrasound in water, which would make it possible to find a complex solution of the problem of metrological support both for ultrasound medical equipment and for other types of equipment produced and used in the Russian Federation. The GET 201-2012 is supplemented with a facility for reproduction and transmission of the unit of sound velocity in water with the help of time-of-flight impulse method with a variable base. The variations of the base length are measured by the optical interference method, whereas the time delay is measured according to the characteristic points of impulsive signals. Prospects of improving the above-mentioned primary standards are discussed. We highlight the problems connected with participation of the Russian Federation in the international comparisons and propose possible ways of their solving.
