摘要

The expansion of the range of reference standards of sorption properties is justified. A reference standard of the sorption properties of titanium dioxide has been developed. Two materials based on titanium dioxide powder were studied during the development process in order to establish the qualitative and quantitative composition, particle size, density, as well as parameters for preparing the material for analysis using gas adsorption. Based on the study results, material with lower impurity content and smaller particle size was selected compared to the other material. The metrological characteristics of the reference standard were established using a reference setup from the State primary standards of units of specific gas adsorption, specific surface area, specific pore volume, pore size, open porosity, and gas permeability coefficient (GET 210-2019). The following ranges of certified values were determined: 10–100 m2/g (specific surface area); 0.05–0.5 cm3/g (specific pore volume); 2–30 nm (average pore diameter); and 0.01–20.00 mol/kg (specific nitrogen adsorption at liquid nitrogen temperature and relative pressures from 0.9 · 10−3 to 0.992). The developed reference standard of sorption properties based on the titanium dioxide matrix was certified and entered into the State register of approved types of reference standards under the following registration number: GSO 12390-2023. The use of GSO 12390-2023 during calibrations, verifications, and testing to validate specific types of instruments for measuring sorption properties at various stages of titanium dioxide production will improve the quality of products based on this material.
