GET 75-2023 State primary standard of the unit of wave impedance in coaxial waveguides

The article considers issues related to measuring the wave impedance and complex reflection and transmission coefficients of devices operating at super high frequencies in coaxial waveguides. It is important to measure these parameters in the design and manufacture of communication and data transmission systems, as well as radar and radio navigation systems. In order to ensure measurement uniformity, reproduction, and dissemination of the units of wave impedance and complex reflection and transmission coefficients to measuring instruments with 1 mm coaxial connectors within the frequency range of 0.01–67 GHz, GET 75-2023 State primary standard of the unit of wave impedance in coaxial waveguides was approved. The system comprises means of reproducing the unit of wave impedance and complex reflection coefficients, as well as a comparator and transfer standards in a coaxial path having a cross-section of 1.0/0.434 mm with a 1 mm connector. Expressions for calculating the parameters of coaxial waveguides with bimetallic conductors are refined. The technical characteristics and results of metrological studies of GET 75-2023 are given. The study results confirmed the high accuracy of GET 75-2023, whose metrological characteristics are comparable with those of national metrological institutes in other countries.
