Metrological support for high-power laser radiation
摘要
The article considers the situation with uniformity assurance in measuring the output performance of high-power lasers, describing works that report an increase in the measured laser power of up to hundreds of kilowatts. The studies were carried out at the All-Russian Research Institute for Optical and Physical Measurements. In order to establish a system of metrological support for measuring the output performance of high-power continuous lasers, it was necessary to create three measurement standards, including GET 28-2022 State Primary Standard of the unit of average laser power, and four measuring instruments operating within the spectral range of 1.07–10.6 µm and the power range of 1–500 kW. A dynamic method for measuring high-power laser radiation was developed and used for the first time. This ensured the certification of instruments by means of standard radiation having a power of below 100 kW. The obtained results led to a significant increase in the level of metrological support to process and special high-power laser equipment.
