<p>Metallized pellets are porous bodies and their deformation does not obey the regularities of plastic deformation of the metal. We present the results of experiments aimed at studying the changes in porosity of metallized pellets in the course of their deformation in the hot state, depending on the temperature of heating and pressure forces. In the process of investigation, it was discovered that, as a&#xa0;result of briquetting, the porosity of hot metallized pellets becomes 2–2.5&#xa0;times lower, due to a&#xa0;decrease in the volume of open pores.</p>

Metallized pellets are porous bodies and their deformation does not obey the regularities of plastic deformation of the metal. We present the results of experiments aimed at studying the changes in porosity of metallized pellets in the course of their deformation in the hot state, depending on the temperature of heating and pressure forces. In the process of investigation, it was discovered that, as a result of briquetting, the porosity of hot metallized pellets becomes 2–2.5 times lower, due to a decrease in the volume of open pores.
