Modeling the influence of vibration on the overgrowth of the protective refractory pipe channel in the process of flowing of steel into the tundish

We describe the methodology of model studies carried out to analyze the possibility of the influence of vibration on the intensity of the process of overgrowth of the channel of a refractory pipe shielding a steel jet in the “casting ladle—intermediate ladle” section, and give recommendations concerning the commercial implementation of this procedure aimed at guaranteeing the reliable operation of the product protecting the poured metal against the secondary oxidation.
