Investigation of slag binders formed during the firing of iron ore pellets
摘要
Iron ore pellets are widely used in blast and metallization furnaces, where they are subjected to reduction processes. During the reduction of iron oxides, pellets lose their strength. Therefore, the search for reduction-resistant or irreducible slag binders that could provide the necessary strength of pellets during reduction processes is a highly relevant research task. The article presents the results of physical modeling of slag binders that can be formed during the firing of pellets using limestone or dolomite as fluxes.
