Reliability of digital measurement results for structural images in metal science

Quantitative evaluation of structures and failure provide a more complete and objective ranking of metal product quality and identification of structural causes of its heterogeneity, which is fundamentally important for full implementation of the principle of quality management according to structure. In the practice of digital measurement structure due attention is not always paid to metrological provision. In this connection the work evaluates some metrological factors of structure digital image analysis that affect obtaining objective results.
