Structure and mechanical properties of hydroxyapatite coating deposited on nitrogen-modified titanium surface
摘要
The formation of a porous hydroxyapatite coating on commercially pure titanium during combined processing: gas nitriding and plasma electrolytic oxidation was studied. The 70–80 μm thick coating, deposited on the nitrogen-modified titanium surface, provides Young’s modulus close to the elasticity modulus of the cortical bone, which will accelerate the bone ingrowth and the interfacial bonding between implants and bones.
