Stressed-strain and limiting states of a prestressed body with a healed crack

The problem of plane crack healing using injection technology is considered within the framework of the brittle fracture mechanics of materials with initial stresses. Singular integral equations were obtained concerning the functions of displacements that jump on the surfaces of the filled crack using the integral Fourier transforms. The exact solution of the corresponding equation in the case of an elliptical crack in the normal opening displacement plane was obtained. The residual strength of the body with a healed crack was calculated according to the Irwin criterion. The parameters on which the effectiveness of restoring the strength of a prestressed body with a crack depends were established.
