摘要

Two layer ignited honeycomb briquettes(TIHBs) are widely used as a summer cooking fuel in residential households, and several additives are used to improve their combustion characteristics. This study was aimed to confirm the combustion promoting characteristics of new combustion additive-Na2FeO4 through thermogravimetric analysis and to determine its optimum additive amount in TIHBs. Thermogravimetric analysis of raw coal, raw coal + Na2FeO4, raw coal + KMnO4 and raw coal + Fe2O3 samples were carried out to determine the combustion promoting properties of the additives. The relative order of activity of the additives is Na2FeO4 > KMnO4 > Fe2O3. Based on the confirmation of the superior combustion promoting properties of Na2FeO4, TIHBs were prepared and the combustion characteristics with the addition of Na2FeO4 were compared. It is reasonable to add 1 L of 47% Na2FeO4 solution per ton of coal, with ignition time reducing from 348 to 313s and combustion rate from 5.02 to 5.7 g min−1. The use of Na2FeO4 is an effective way to improve the combustion characteristics of TIHBs and save coal.
