<p><sup>210</sup>Po can be rapidly determined in seawater samples by alpha spectrometry using tellurium (Te) microprecipitation. In this method, Po is first pre-concentrated using titanium trichloride (TiCl<sub>3</sub>), redissolved in 3&#xa0;M HCl, and filtered. Te microprecipitation was then applied to the supernatant. Replicate spiked samples and blank samples were analyzed to evaluate the performance of the procedure. For <sup>210</sup>Po in 1&#xa0;L seawater samples, the minimum detectable activity concentration (MDC) was determined to be 0.5&#xa0;mBq L<sup>−1</sup> with a counting time of 24h, and high recoveries (~ 89%) were achieved. This method is suitable for the rapid batch screening of <sup>210</sup>Po in environmental water samples.</p>
