<p>Since 2023, our National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), Japan, has participated in PROCORAD (Association for the PROmotion of Quality Control in RADiotoxicological Analysis, France) international intercomparisons for tritium analysis in urine and water. To strengthen radiation emergency preparedness, we developed rapid tritium screening methods using liquid scintillation counting and concurrently improved our laboratory manuals and specifications. Based on performance criteria including Z-score, bias, and En value, our laboratory qualified as a TOP LABOs in the 2024 ARADOS (Asian Radiation Dosimetry Group) intercomparison and the 2025 PROCORAD intercomparison.</p>
