Radon measurement in ground water samples using RAD7 monitor-based bubbler and liquid scintillation counting – a comparative study
摘要
Radon (222Rn) in water is measured using two standard techniques: Liquid Scintillation Counting (LSC) and the RAD7 online radon monitor-based bubbler technique. The applicability and suitability of these two techniques depend on their minimum detectable activity, sample water volume, preparation time, counting time, precision, and cost-effectiveness. Groundwater samples from 22 locations were analyzed by both techniques, and the results were compared based on their agreement and precision. The deviations were quantified, and the observed trends were interpreted.
