<p>This study examined the exchangeable fractions of Sr, Cs, and Co in diverse soil and rock media based on field sampling and batch adsorption experiments. Results showed that most exchangeable fractions were significantly below the 20% value suggested by IAEA. The exchangeable fractions of Sr displayed a positive correlation with cation exchange capacity, those of Cs was influenced by potassium feldspar and mica-like clay minerals, while those of Co was strongly correlated with organic matter content. These findings enhance the understanding of radionuclide partitioning behavior in geotechnical media and provide an empirical approach for predicting distribution coefficients (<i>K</i><sub>d</sub>) using stable isotope analysis.</p>
