Environmental removal rate assessment using annual deposition samples
摘要
Long-term deposition data (1987–1994) from Romania were used to estimate the average environmental removal rate from the atmosphere, primarily for 137Cs, but also for 106Ru, 125Sb, 134Cs, and 144Ce. The results show that the average environmental removal rates of the above-mentioned radionuclides are, to a first approximation, comparable, and the parameters obtained are in close agreement with values reported elsewhere. A comparison between the simple exponential model and the power-law model indicates that the exponential model is more suitable for shorter periods, whereas the power-law model provides a better fit over longer timescales.
