<p>A monazite concentrate recovered from coastal placers in Lam Dong, Vietnam, was analyzed using XRD, SEM/EDS, optical microscopy, ICP-MS, and gamma spectrometry. The results indicate that the concentrate is highly enriched in light rare earth elements (46.1&#xa0;wt% of total REEs), with notable proportions of Nd₂O₃ (8.8&#xa0;wt%) and Pr₆O₁₁ (2.7&#xa0;wt%). In addition, substantial concentrations of Th (4.5 wt%) and U (0.35 wt%) contributed to elevated activity concentration (564.4&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;g<sup>−1</sup>), primarily associated with the <sup>232</sup>Th decay series. These findings highlight not only the REEs resource potential of Vietnamese monazite but also the critical importance of radiation safety during processing, transportation, and residue management.</p>
