<p>Possibilities of thin layer activation (TLA) have been shown in connection with wear, corrosion and erosion measurements, when the material loss of more than one party must be measured simultaneously. This can be achieved by using the so-called double activation. This paper shows different scenarios depending on the participating material and required tasks and which specific parameters must be considered.</p>
