摘要

This study evaluates natural radioactivity in Una district, Himachal Pradesh, by measuring concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K using NaI(Tl) gamma ray spectrometry, and 222Rn and 220Rn exhalation rates using the SMART RnDuo monitor. A strong correlation was observed between 226Ra and 222Rn (R2 = 0.86) and between 232Th and 220Rn (R2 = 0.81). The mean levels of 226Ra and 232Th were below global averages, while 40K was slightly elevated. All radiological hazard indices remained within safe limits, indicating low radiological risk and providing essential baseline data for this region.
