摘要

This study investigated the adsorption behaviour of Sr2+ by GMZ bentonite, considering the effects of time and initial concentration, and quantified the ion exchange contribution. Results showed that Sr2+ adsorption reached equilibrium within 48 h. As the initial Sr2+ concentration increased, the adsorption capacity increased, whereas the adsorption rate declined. Meanwhile, the ion exchange adsorption capacity increased and reached a plateau at high concentrations, while the ion exchange adsorption ratio decreased from 95.7% to 68.8%. Sorption process is governed by ion exchange. As ion exchange sites saturate, multilayer adsorption occurs and surface or edge interactions become significant.
