<p>This study investigates the exhalation rates of radon and thoron from soil in the Budhakedar region of Tehri Garhwal, India, using a SMART RnDuo monitor. The average surface and mass exhalation rates of radon were 59.37&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;m<sup>−2</sup>&#xa0;h<sup>−1</sup>, and 149.28&#xa0;mBq&#xa0;kg<sup>−1</sup>&#xa0;h<sup>−1</sup>, while the average thoron surface exhalation rate was 1.97&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;m<sup>−2</sup>&#xa0;s<sup>−1</sup> and mass emanation rate was 14.74&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;kg<sup>−1</sup>&#xa0;s<sup>−1</sup><sub>,</sub> respectively. Higher exhalation rates were observed near the Central Crystalline Group, indicating geological influences. Radon exhalation showed greater variability, while thoron followed a symmetric distribution pattern across the region. This study also highlights the correlations and statistical distributions of the exhalation rates.</p>
