<p>The study examined the concentrations of <sup>210</sup>Po and <sup>210</sup>Pb in various marine finfish from the Cochin Islands in Kerala. The findings revealed that pelagic fish had higher levels of <sup>210</sup>Po, while bottom-dwelling species showed increased concentrations of <sup>210</sup>Pb. The overall activity concentrations ranged from 12.6 ± 1.6 to 56.3 ± 2.8&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;kg⁻<sup>1</sup> for <sup>210</sup>Po and from 9.0 ± 0.5 to 52.1 ± 2.8&#xa0;Bq&#xa0;kg⁻<sup>1</sup> for <sup>210</sup>Pb. Among the species studied, pelagic planktivores, such as <i>Escualosa thoracata</i>, exhibited the highest concentrations and bioaccumulation factors. The ratios of <sup>210</sup>Po to <sup>210</sup>Pb were greater than 1 in pelagic species, but less than 1 in bottom-dwelling species. Activity concentrations of <sup>210</sup>Po and <sup>210</sup>Pb varied significantly according to taxonomy, environment, and feeding habits, but no significant differences were observed between sampling stations. The annual committed effective doses (ACEDs) for both radionuclides fell within the ICRP safety limits of 1–20&#xa0;mSv y⁻<sup>1</sup>, indicating minimal health risks associated with fish consumption.</p>
