摘要

In this study, the mass loss and radon exhalation rates of geopolymers prepared using different dosages of sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide as alkali activators, with metakaolin as an admixture and uranium tailings as an aggregate, were examined. The test results showed that the amount of alkali activator in the geopolymer specimens significantly influences these rates. Both rates initially decreased before increasing with the rise in alkali activator content. The influence mechanism of the alkali activator content on the mass loss and radon exhalation rates of geopolymers was elucidated and discussed by utilizing the results of SEM, XRD, and FT-IR.
