Preparation of specific-purpose 57Co radiation sources for specialised Mössbauer techniques
摘要
The presented work outlines the methodology employed in the preparation of two distinct Mössbauer radiation sources, characterised by their respective emission properties. Two matrices were selected for the electrodeposition and subsequent high-temperature diffusion of 57Co. The objective was to prepare a single-line and a six-line source, with emission spectra that overlap the absorption spectra of selected steel phases (namely, paramagnetic austenite and ferromagnetic ferrite/martensite). The rationale behind the aforementioned source preparation is to develop a bespoke apparatus based on the Mössbauer principle for the rapid determination of the aforementioned steel phases.
