Elemental analysis of nickel ore by PGNAA

摘要

Prompt gamma neutron activation analysis of nickel ore samples was carried out using a DT portable pulsed neutron generator and a Ø 7.6 × 7.6 cm LaBr₃ detector. Rock powders of nickel ore were analyzed and elements Fe, Si, S, Ni were determined by using calibration curves from standard samples. The minimum detection concentrations of Fe, Si, Ni and S determined from ore samples were 0.87, 1.50, 0.04 and 1.05 wt% respectively.
