Utilizing GAFCHROMIC EBT3 film for precise skin dosimetry in head and neck cancer patients
摘要
In this study, the EBT3 Gafchromic film was used to evaluate skin dose distribution during radiation therapy for parotid cancer. The film was calibrated for doses ranging from 0.2 to 5 Gy, ensuring precise skin dose measurement within overlapping RAO and RPO radiation fields. Results from a single 2.0 Gy session revealed minimal and maximal skin doses of 0.8217 Gy and 1.1297 Gy, respectively. Over a typical 30–35 session treatment course, cumulative skin doses were projected to range from 20 to 40 Gy, with only mild cutaneous reactions expected.
