Preparation of shell-type biochar and its application for removing beryllium from uranium-beryllium wastewater
摘要
With the intensification of uranium-beryllium mining, a large amount of tailings wastewater is urgently needed to be treated. In this paper, the agricultural waste longan shell is used as the material (LSB), and the biochar with excellent pore structure is prepared by a straightforward high-temperature carbonization method. The primary adsorption mechanism may be ion exchange between beryllium and LSB. In addition, by characterizing the physical and chemical properties of LSB and adsorbed LSB (Used-LSB), it can be seen that the hydroxyl group on LSB forms a stable complex with beryllium and promotes the combination of carbonate group and beryllium.
