Simulation of dose rate distribution in a Betatron laboratory
摘要
The high energy and compact size of circular electron accelerator (betatron)make it an excellent non-destructive testing tool. At a laboratory in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a new betatron has been installed. In consideration of safety, the accelerator laboratory was accurately modeled, and a custom photon source was introduced and validated to accurately simulate the distribution of rays within the laboratory. Consequently, the dose rate map was generated, the high-dose zone was marked and the safety of the shielding was demonstrated.
