Full automation of the radiosynthesis of N-succinimidyl-4-[¹⁸F]fluorobenzoate ([¹⁸F]SFB) on the ALL IN ONE synthesizer

N-Succinimidyl-4-[¹⁸F]fluorobenzoate, also known as [¹⁸F]SFB, is a secondary labeling and imaging agent that has been developed for imaging applications in the Positron Emission Tomography (PET). A fully optimized and configured preparation procedure, including reaction factors, and designed a robust program for the synthesis. The program has undergone several modifications to ensure a smooth and automated synthesis program consisting of multiple steps. Comparable radiochemical yields (32–57% ± 5%, n = 25) to previously reported procedures are achieved with acceptable reaction time and high radiochemical purity (> 98%).
