Synthesis and characterization of novel p-benzoquinone diimide-based conjugated copolymers with carbazole and fluorene donor moieties
摘要
In this paper, two donor-acceptor conjugated copolymers, namely poly(p-benzoquinone diimide-carbazole) (P4) and poly(p-benzoquinone diimide-fluorene) (P5), were synthesized via Ni(II)-catalyzed coupling polymerization. The copolymers were prepared from N, N’-dichloro-p-benzoquinone diimide as the acceptor unit, 2,7-dibromo-N-n-octadecylcarbazole and 2,7-dibromo-9,9-didocosylfluorene as donor units, using 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane nickel(II) chloride as the catalyst. The chemical structures and properties of the copolymers were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, 1H NMR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and cyclic voltammetry (CV). XRD patterns reveal that both copolymers exhibit relatively poor crystallinity. Meanwhile, the diffraction peak of P5 at 2θ = 20.98° is stronger and narrower than that of P4, indicating that P5 possesses slightly higher crystallinity than P4.
