Preparation and properties of cross-linked polyamide 6 based on 1,4-dibromobutane and dimethylamino caprolactam/caprolactam copolymers
摘要
In this study, we successfully prepared crosslinked polyamide 6 copolymers from caprolactam (CL) and dimethylamino caprolactam (DMCL), followed by quaternization using 1,4-dibromobutane. The cross-linked polyamide 6 copolymers show remarkable changes in thermal and rheological properties compared with pure PA6. The energy storage modulus at low frequency, zero shear viscosity are significantly higher than that of pure PA6, and the loss angle tangent is less than 1. The mechanical properties of crosslinked polyamide 6 are highly related to the DMCL content, i.e., the crosslinked density. The tensile strength of the copolymers is up to 76.5 MPa when the molar ratio of DMCL is 5%, showing a 64.5% increase compared to that of pure PA6.The above research results provide a new method for the preparation of high-performance nylon 6.
