Organosilicon-modified epoxy resin coatings for anti-smudge application
摘要
Organosilicon-modified epoxy resin coatings with liquid-repellent, anti-graffiti, and self-cleaning properties were fabricated for anti-smudge application. Amino-functionalized hyperbranched polysiloxane (HBPSi) was synthesized using 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES), phenyltrimethoxysilane (PTMS), and dimethyldimethoxysilane (DMDMS) as raw materials. HBPSi was utilized as a curing agent for epoxy resin, and anti-smudge coatings were prepared through modification with 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane (PFOTES). The effect of the amount of PFOTES on the surface properties of the epoxy resin coatings was investigated. The fluorosilane-modified epoxy resin coatings possess low surface free energies. The resulting coating exhibits liquid repellency, and water, hexadecane, and ethanol can slide off the coating surface smoothly without leaving trace. Additionally, the prepared coating exhibits excellent anti-graffiti and self-cleaning properties. This work provides a design strategy for high-performance anti-smudge coatings.
