摘要

Universities have been drivers of entrepreneurship and innovation through commercialized knowledge, the development of human capital, the launch of entrepreneurial initiatives, and participation in collaborative initiatives with local, regional, and international partners. Consequently, universities have developed multiple mechanisms to foster entrepreneurship and innovation through various educational programs and infrastructure. It also explains why universities have been socially encouraged to create new learning models that align with generational desires and employers’ requirements, as well as enrich the entrepreneurial culture through multiple initiatives. Although the literature on university entrepreneurship continues to expand, re-thinking the configuration of a combined entrepreneurship education and university entrepreneurship ecosystems strategy oriented towards generating multiple impacts on the university community still demands conceptual and empirical discussion. This paper examines the influence of entrepreneurship education (EE) and a university entrepreneurial ecosystem (UEE) on graduates´ entrepreneurship. Our results capture the specific influence of entrepreneurship education, as well as the influence of university ecosystem mechanisms on graduates’ entrepreneurial actions by extending the academic debate about the metrics and effectiveness of entrepreneurship education and the university ecosystem.
