摘要

This study investigates the technology transfer process, including the strategies, delivery modes, methods, and tools, employed by benefit corporation business incubators (BCBIs) to facilitate the sustainable development of start-ups. We conducted exploratory research based on a single case study and reflexive thematic analysis. The findings show that BCBIs assist sustainability-oriented start-ups through technology transfer. The findings enhance existing theories and offer new insights into both BCBIs and the technology transfer process, thereby expanding the current discourse. We propose a model that identifies the factors influencing technology transfer from a sustainable entrepreneurship perspective. The emphasis on sustainability by BCBIs shapes their strategies, modes of delivery, methods, and tools of technology transfer. Further, the findings provide practical suggestions for BCBI managers to support sustainable entrepreneurial development.
