<p>Based on a model with two bedding coefficients, we study contact problems for bodies with coatings with regard for the presence of friction and wear. Wear is caused by the action of asperities (dies of any shape including, in particular, periodic structures simulating surface roughness) upon the coatings. The problems are reduced to solving Fredholm integral equations of the first and second kinds, and their numerical- analytic solutions are constructed. The numerical analysis is carried out both in space and in time for the obtained contact pressure, degree of wear, displacements of the die as a rigid body, deflection of the elastic layer, as well as the influence of its thickness, periodicity of the dies and their shapes on the computed quantities.</p>
