Scattering of SH-waves by an Elastic Fiber with Thin Piezoelectric Interphase Inclusion

We propose a numerical-analytic method for the investigation of stationary wave fields scattered in an unbounded elastic medium by an elastic fiber with cross section of noncanonical shape in the presence of a thin interphase piezoelectric inclusion under the conditions of longitudinal shear. The algorithm of investigations is based on the application of the null-field method. We also analyzed the influence of the mechanical and geometric parameters of the composite on the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the SH-waves scattered by the fiber into the far-field zone.
