Contact Interaction of a Periodic Punch of Any Shape with Elastic Foundation Characterized by Two Bedding Coefficients

We study periodic contact problems for an elastic foundation characterized by two bedding coefficients and punches of any shape. The problems are reduced to solving the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind and finding its analytic solution. We perform the numerical analysis of the obtained contact pressure, settlement of the punch as a rigid body, deflection of the elastic layer, the influence of its thickness, periodicity of the punches, and their shape on the computed quantities.
