Comments on the Derivation of Formulas for Gaussian Quasiphotons by Complex Space-Time Ray Methods (STRM)

We consider quasiphotons, which are asymptotic solutions of the wave equation with a Gaussian-type localization around points moving along rays. We show in this note that well-known procedures of obtaining the formulas for quasiphotons lead to a complete class of quasiphotons described by the complex space-time ray method (STRM), in spite of the very restrictive normalizing condition. It is possible in the case of the constant velocity to derive formulas in explicit form for 3 × 3-matrices describing quasiphotons. (These matrices, in particular, can have all nonzero components).
