QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF A DISCRETE-TIME PLANT-HERBIVORE MODEL
摘要
This paper presents a qualitative analysis of a discrete-time plant-herbivore model. The model is based on a set of difference equations that describe the dynamics of the plant and herbivore populations over time. The aim of the analysis is to investigate the behavior of the model under different parameter values and initial conditions. The results show that the model exhibits a range of interesting dynamical behaviors, including stable equilibria, period-doubling cascade, and chaotic attractors. The analysis also reveals that the model is highly sensitive to changes in key parameters, which can lead to significant shifts in the dynamics of the system. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the behavior of plant-herbivore systems and highlights the importance of qualitative analysis in understanding complex ecological systems.
