<p>In this paper, we introduce a new type of contraction mapping, called weak (<i>F</i>,&#xa0;<i>G</i>)-contraction, defined on a metric space, that expands some of the contractions studied in the literature, and we establish some fixed point results in complete metric spaces, which generalize and improve several of the known theorems. Moreover, an example has been constructed to illustrate this new contraction-type function, as well as the existence and uniqueness of its fixed point.</p>

摘要

In this paper, we introduce a new type of contraction mapping, called weak (FG)-contraction, defined on a metric space, that expands some of the contractions studied in the literature, and we establish some fixed point results in complete metric spaces, which generalize and improve several of the known theorems. Moreover, an example has been constructed to illustrate this new contraction-type function, as well as the existence and uniqueness of its fixed point.
