<p>A polemic is given regarding the reported curve-fit equation coefficients for the van’t Hoff, Apelblat and Yaws models used to describe the variation in mole fraction solubility of 1,2-difluoro-4,5-dinitrobenzene in binary aqueous-methanol solvent mixtures. The published equation coefficients were found to give back-calculated values that were 1,000 times larger than&#xa0;the observed mole fraction solubilities.</p>
